What is Powers of History?

Powers of HIstory is a private limited company, and I am Muhammad Ahmedullah, its director. I set up the company to take my interest in history to a new level. Through this personal initiative, I want to promote a better understanding of the powers of history and what happens to society when there are unequal engagements with the past by its constituent parts.

What will Powers of History do?

Powers of History will publish books and articles, produce videos and social media content, offer virtual and face-to-face presentations on mainly relatively little-known history, run history walks and provide a picture gallery for image purchasing. As social aims underpin these initiatives, the fees will be modest. So, look out for new initiatives and announcements – to be a regular feature of the Powers of History.

What are the powers of history and their implications?

History can create problems as well as help solve them.

When people utilise the powers of history to create problems, they generate victims and become their victimisers.

Those who work at the cutting edge of historical research and interpretations acquire the greatest powers of history, which they can use for good or evil.

If you are a victim of the powers of history, then without engaging at the cutting-edge levels of historical research and interpretations, it will never be possible for you to challenge and deal with those who use history to harm you. It is as simple as that.

Being lazy and not engaging at the cutting edge of historical research and interpretations is not an option.

Either engage at the cutting-edge levels in this regard or allow others to interpret you into marginalisation, victimisation, delegitimisation and exclusion or, sometimes, even attempts made at your extermination.
